This breath taking film is set in Belfast against the backdrop of German bombings in World War 2. This true story is very emotional and gives zooyou a powerful feeling. Tom (Art Parkinson) endeavours to help Buster the elephant from certain death.

Seen through the eyes of Tom, the film vividly portrays the impact of World War 2 on the city of Belfast, especially the zoo where his father George is a zookeeper.

Art Parkinson played the part of Tom sympathetically. He effectively portrayed the emotions of the circumstances surrounding him. Both him and his dad care strongly about the animals.

Some people admire the film for its historical context, others for the emotional true story.

This out of the ordinary film will appeal to older children and their parents. It stands out because of the hard-hitting emotions portrayed throughout.
